janet7Janet Monda, AIA Vice-President

Janet is a graduate of the School of Architecture at Washington State University and a licensed architect in the states of Washington and Oregon.  She brings more than 29 years of architectural and planning experience to our team in working with several top architectural firms in the Pacific Northwest before joining AWI in 1996.

Her resume of experience includes the planning and design of hospitals, clinics, single & multi-family residential housing, retirement facilities, offices, lending institutions, veterinary hospitals, and auto dealerships.

She currently serves as Vice-President and in addition to managing our technology and quality control programs she also participates on and manages our planning and design teams within the health care field.  She as well continues to participate on our veterinary health care project teams.

Outside of the office Janet has been involved in her community as a coach in a local youth soccer program; advisory board member to the Lake Washington Technical College Engineering Graphics program; and is also a past board member of Springboard Alliance, a local cooperative which operates transitional housing and homeless shelters. Janet is currently the Chairman of the Social Justice Commission at her local parish church, and continues to travel to New Orleans to assist in the re-construction of housing for the sufferers of Hurricane Katrina.
